Whoa.. the Redang Trip was great. This was the time when i brought my camera, the place is perhaps one of the nicer place I have seen so far. The white sanded beach, clear blue and green waters, what more can you look for in a beach. Now looking back on the beaches in S'pore, one can only heave a sigh of sadness.
The trip there was long close to about 10 hours of coach ride which was quite tiring as I couldnt sleep at all because I couldnt get into a good position and also that the friggin bus was too COLD. I was practically awake for most the journey. We arrived at the jetty about 5.30 am which we then have to wait till about 9 for the boatmen to come. Walked around the deserted streets, nothing was open, so our dive mates sat at the jetty and talked crap till they came. As light set in, more and more people arrived and the whole jetty became more crowded. We had abit of breakfast and waited some more. They FINALLY CAME we brought our belongings onto the boat and off we went. Quite fast might I add as compared to the last trip to Dayang. It took us about 30 mins to get to the island.
Brought the stuff up we were briefed by one of the receptionist, i think, on the 'timetable' of the place. When we will have lunch breakfast etc. Went to the rooms, it was damn nice and cozy, Air-conditioning greeted us as we unpacked some stuff. We changed and proceeded to get ready our dive equipments. Dad loaned me some of his items, his regulator, dive comp, compass and Flashlight. All of which i used except the torch as we didnt get to go to night dives on both nights cos 1st night the Divemaster had lessons I think and second night we were to bummed out to go diving anymore. Both days i got abit sea sick. Almost went merlion but didnt. Lucky. 1st night didnt do much. 2nd night we had dinner and some went to into the IC's room to watch LOST and had abit of booze all drank cept zaki and me. The DM was an awfully Good bloke. He briefed us on the dive site and cared for most of our safety. His story was quite sad tho his name was Tim. We packed part of our bags. Woke up early and packed the dive bags. said our gd byes and told them if we have to time we will come back. Most probably will. Oh there was a huge storm on the second day. thank god i was not feeling well but it gave me time to rest haahahahah. LUCKy. Took many many pictures althought not all nice but still. The waters not that clear alot of silt and the thermocline, scares me to think about it. whoa. the trip back was about the same 12 hrs of bus ride. Oh and on the bus 960 back home this guy sat beside me talked to me quite freaky but he was quite friendly. asked about the trip he was a working adult lives in bukit panjang i think. haha didnt catch his name but if fated i will meet him again. hah ok cya.
